Chef’s Guide

Above are two pictures of the SACC kitchen, newly installed in 2006. The left photo shows the front of the set and the one on the right shows the inside of the set. There is a brand new four burner electric stove with full size oven/ broiler. There is an under the counter refrigerator to store items for the cooking demonstration. There is also a sink and microwave oven.

The kitchen is equipped with white dishes, glasses and dinnerware as well as some serving plates. There are minimal pans so we encourage chefs to bring their own pans and special utensils along with the ingredients for the dishes. Please bring a copy of the recipe in 12-point type so that we can show it during the show to the viewers. We use a text camera in the control room.

Before the show, we will agree on the amount of time needed for the segment. Be prepared to chat with host while preparing the food. We’ll discuss the ingredients, method of preparation and presentation.

A small dinning room table sits to the left of the kitchen (see photo below) and this can be used for the final presentation. Chairs will be available.

If you come from a restaurant, you may bring a short video showing your restaurant, which we can show, during your segment.
