- Jenny Rotten, Sweet Deebacle, kd Bang, Ms Ameriwreckya and Liv Dangerously --Members of the Albany Allstars Roller Derby Team. We will hear about the sport of roller derby from some very talented women. Their upcoming Winter Wonder Slam will be on Jan 7 at the Washington Ave. Armory in Albany starting at 7 pm. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Capital District women’s Employment and Resource Center.

- Joan Fuess from the Circle Theatre Players & Sand Lake Center for the Artswill tell us about the Charles Nalle Lecture and Slideshow that will be presented by Scott Christianson on January 13. Scott Christianson is the author of "Freeing Charles: The Struggle to Free a Slave on the Eve of the Civil War". The CTP will also be presenting “The Legacy of Human Property” on Jan 27-29. This play recounts Charles Nalle's son's visit to Troy in the 1930s to learn about his father and his place in history. Flashbacks depict Charles' journey in life as well as we hear about the legal and social environment both in the South and North.
